Connecting Facebook and Instagram.
Meta decides what any publishing tool is allowed to reach. Two of its rules stop nearly everyone, so those come first.
Melio publishes to a Facebook Page, not a personal profile. Meta removed profile publishing from its API in 2018, so no scheduling tool can post to a personal profile; this isn't a Melio limitation. If the connect screen says you don't have any Pages, you need to create one, or be given a role on an existing Page that can post.
Linking Instagram and Facebook in Accounts Centre is not the connection Melio needs. Accounts Centre is Meta's login layer: it makes one login cover both apps, and it grants publishing permission to nothing. The link that counts is between your Instagram professional account and your Facebook Page, and it is a separate setting. This is the single most common reason the connect screen shows no Instagram accounts.
Three things, and all three have to be true.
A Facebook Page
Melio posts to a Page. If you don't have one, create it, or ask whoever owns it to give you a role that can post.
An Instagram professional account
Business or Creator, not personal. Personal Instagram accounts have no publishing API at all, so there is no way around this one.
The two connected to each other
A separate step from creating the Page, and the one people miss. Start it from the Facebook Page side, then confirm it from the Instagram side. Meta asks you to sign in to Instagram, and the link isn't live until you do.

We don’t print step-by-step paths for these screens. Meta moves them often enough that a written path is usually wrong by the time you read it, so here are Meta’s own articles instead: they move when the screens do.
What the screen says, and what it means.
No Instagram accounts show up when I try to connect.
Your Instagram almost certainly isn't connected to your Facebook Page. Two things both have to be true: the account is a professional one (Business or Creator), and it is connected to the Page. Linking them in Accounts Centre doesn't count: that's Meta's login layer, and it grants publishing permission to nothing.
I connected them, but Melio still can't see the Instagram account.
Check that you confirmed the link from the Instagram side. Meta asks you to sign in to Instagram to confirm, and the connection isn't live until you do, so a link started from the Page and left unconfirmed looks done on one side and missing on the other.
The connect screen says I don't have any Pages.
Either you don't have a Page yet, or you have one and didn't tick it. Nothing is selected by default on Meta's permission screens, so it is easy to click straight through and grant nothing. Try connecting again and tick the Page first. If it still doesn't appear, the Page either doesn't exist yet, belongs to someone who has moved on, or your role on it is too limited to post. Create it, or get your role upgraded.
I clicked through Meta's permission screens and nothing connected.
Nothing is ticked by default on those screens. Tick the Page and the Instagram account you want Melio to use, and pick the business portfolio the Page belongs to. Granting nothing looks the same as granting everything right up until the result comes back empty, so it's worth going through the connect again slowly.
I set everything up at Meta, came back, and the connect still failed.
Start the connect again from Melio, and it should go through in seconds now that the setup is done. The connect carries a short-lived security token that ties it to your workspace, and it expires if you leave the Meta screens open while you go and create a Page or link an Instagram account. Nothing you set up is lost; only the connect attempt itself needs repeating.
Do I need a Facebook Page if I only want to post to Instagram?
Yes. Instagram publishing runs through a Facebook Page. That's how Meta's API works, so the Page is required even if you never post anything to Facebook itself.
Can Melio post to my personal Facebook profile?
No, and neither can any other scheduling tool. Meta removed profile publishing from its API in 2018; publishing works through a Facebook Page only.
Meta says I need to remove a commerce or shopping connection first.
This only affects you if you sell products through Instagram. Meta names the existing commerce or shopping connection that is in the way and asks you to remove it before the new link can be made. If you don't run an Instagram shop, you will never see this.
